About Our Founder Michael Compeau Founder and President, Mike Compeau has 20 years of experience in classical marketing, product development, technology marketing, product management, and business development. His educational background spans biology & life sciences, chemistry, earth sciences, and software programming, as well as marketing and creative arts.Mike is equally comfortable discussing your next material innovation product breakthrough, helping formulate your next software product roadmap, or helping to wordsmith your business plan to obtain funding. About Our Principals Lisa Burnett With over 13 years of marketing communications experience across the spectrum of consumer durables and technology product categories, Lisa Burnett has helped industry leaders, from innovative start-ups to Fortune 100 firms with successful product launches and product positioning & repositioning. Lisa understands the importance of consistent messaging throughout all customer touch points throughout the sales cycle via website or person-to-person interactions and product user experience management.Lisa Burnett's proven track record includes strategic marketing communications, product branding, website design and web user experience, copywriting, online marketing & advertising, and point-of-sale merchandising. During Lisa's most recent role at Chapura Software, she launched seven products within 3 years and managed the evolution of the firm's website into a sales tool providing cross-sell suggestions to customers visiting the site for technical support. Joel Evans Joel Evans is the founder and Chief Geek of Geek.com, the website praised by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Microsoft, Palm, and others as one of world's best sources of information for technology professionals. He combines his passion for technology and analytical and user-centered research with solid experience in sales, sales management, technical project management and product development.Joel has experience on both sides of the technology divide; as a member of the press himself through his operation of Geek.com for nearly ten years, he has learned what it takes to attract the attention of the technophile segment and create buzz around a product. With more than a decade of experience taking established brands and products into the mobile, wireless and emerging technology space--including providing assistance to Microsoft and other market leaders--Joel brings a unique perspective to Compeau-Fawkes Marketing clients.
Corrie Haffly Corrie Haffly loves to create web sites that have clean design and clean code. In addition to her skills in web site, user interface, and graphic design, Corrie brings a positive attitude, efficient and speedy processes, and a team-based mentality to Compeau-Fawkes clients.In addition to web and graphic design, Corrie is passionate about teaching and training. Corrie published _The Photoshop Anthology_ with SitePoint in 2005 and has published numerous articles and tutorials about web design and graphics. She keeps her writing skills honed by blogging prolifically about design, organization, productivity, and life.
Stephen Sandler Steve Sandler has spent over 30 years in the advertising and marketing industry--first cutting his teeth at Leo Burnett Worldwide in Chicago, followed by heading up marketing for Arby's, Inc., running his own advertising agency for a decade, and performing numerous marketing and advertising roles for various market leaders since then. Media & Creative Services Partners Kevin Doel / TalonPR Kevin Doel and Michael Compeau have been working together for nearly ten years since the earliest days of TalonPR. Through a special partnership with MakaluMedia, based in Germany, Compeau-Fawkes benefits from access to Mike's rich background in web and graphic design--helping Compeau-Fawkes clients to build web applications, clean and effective websites, e-mail newsletters, logos and corporate branding, and print communications.Mike Rohde is also a passionate mobile device user who founded The Palm Tipsheet, a free e-zine of practical tips for Palm handheld users that grew to a distribution of over 10,000 subscribers. Mike is also an avid blogger, and continues to share his views on many topics through that venue.
Matt Dopkiss / Dynamit Technologies Matt brings a background in the disciplined study of physics to his management and direction of "design engineering" online projects performed in partnership with Compeau-Fawkes.
